सगरमाथाको नयाँ उचाइ

 

काठमाडौं: सगरमाथाको नयाँ उचाइ 8848.86 मीटर छ, नेपालका विदेश मंत्री प्रदीपकुमार ज्ञवालीले मंगलबार घोषणा गरे।

ज्ञवालीले भने कि सगरमाथाको उचाई 0.86 सेन्टिमिटरले बढेको छ।

विश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखरको मापन सम्बन्धमा डाटा प्रसंस्करणमा एक बर्ष काम गरे पछि नेपालले मंगलबार माउन्ट एभरेष्टको मापन गरिएको नयाँ मापनको घोषणा गर्‍यो।

नेपालले विश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखरको उचाई मापन गर्न पहल गरिसकेपछि भने, 2015 को भूकम्प पछि 8848 मीटर उचाइ वास्तविक उचाइ न हुन पनि सक्छ।

पहाडको उचाई पुन: नाप्नका लागि नेपाली अधिकारी र विज्ञहरू खटाएपछि नेपाल सरकारले पनि चीनसँग आन्तरिक प्रयासमा समन्वय गरे। 2019 मा चिनियाँ राष्ट्रपति सी जिनपिइंग को नेपाल भ्रमणको क्रममा, दुबै देशहरूले संयुक्त रूपमा विश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखरको उचाई घोषणा गर्न सम्झौता गरेका थिए।

1954 मा मापन गरिएको 8848 मिटर विश्वको सर्वोच्च शिखरका लागि नेपाली नाम सगरमाथाको व्यापक रूपले स्वीकृत र मान्यता प्राप्त उचाइ रहेको छ।

Kathmandu: The new height of Everest is 8848.86 meters, Nepal's Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali announced on Tuesday.

Gyawali said that the height of Everest has increased by 0.86 cm.

Nepal announced a new measurement of Mount Everest on Tuesday after a year of working in data processing regarding the world's highest peak measurement.

After Nepal has taken initiative to measure the world's highest peak, 8848 meter height may not be the actual height after the 2015 earthquake.

Nepal government also coordinated with China in an internal effort after Nepalese officials and experts were set up to re-measure the height of the mountain. During Chinese President C. Jinping's visit to Nepal in 2019, both countries jointly agreed to declare the highest peak of the world.

The Nepali name Everest is a widely approved and recognized height of 8848 meters measured in 1954 for the world's highest peak.
